Cynthia:  Is it just me or are cat themed clothing and accessories getting more sophisticated?

Marcy:  It’s you.

Cynthia:  Really? Because these models look super cool in their (Made in the USA) cat tees.

Marcy:  It’s called marketing, Cindy.  Advertisers have been putting crazy clothes on beautiful teenagers for forever because they look fantastic in… everything. It’s an illusion and you people fall for it every time.

Cynthia:  Yeah but what about this barrette? It’s not crazy. I love it.

Cats of Gold Barrette

Marcy:  It’s crazy.

Cynthia:  Even cat ears are getting more sophisticated.

So Catty Headband

Marcy:  Even crazier. Why are you not listening to me?

Cynthia:  Because I’m gullible and believe in the fantasy.

Marcy:  But you look like a lunatic in cat wear. Leave it to the under 20 set.

Cynthia:  No. You only live once and I want to wear what I want.

Marcy:  Fine.

Cynthia:  Fine.

Marcy:  I guess if you give your cats human voices and have a cat blog then you’re already a billboard for lunacy. Might as well be a walking and talking billboard in cat ears.

Cute stuff! And while Marcy does have a point, you should wear what you want. Stay young, be happy!

Why is it that young people wearing cat-themed clothing look cute and trendy but when I wear my sweatshirt with the large embroidered Labradoodle head, people escort me back to the nursing home where I don't even live.

I bet you look super cute in your large embroidered Labradoodle head sweatshirt. I bet the old geezers think you are a hottie.

I would definitely wear that barrette. And in the right circumstances… the cat ears too.

Yay! I feel vindicated that someone as stylish as you would wear them! Now I know I am not crazy!

I am obsessed with tyat gold cat barrette. It is so pretty. My daughter would love it, too. I saw the sweetest cats yesterday in our neighborhood. They waited for each other as they snuck a long a fence to their house. It was cute.

I also believe in the fantasy. Maybe I'm equally gullible and fanatical, but I agree that the styles are getting more sophisticated. We've come a long way from those horrid sweatshirts with the three cats from the front on the front, with their tails up and butt holes exposed on the back. My aunt bought me one of those when I was 12. It was humiliating. Kyle told me that his mom use to frequently wear one with cats in denim skirts and cowgirl boots. Charming. lol

I'm a sucker for headbands, even though I recently read an article that no one nearing or over 30 should wear headbands. Screw that. Better yet, I'll wear cat ears. Take that!

Wear headbands!!!! I love them too. I only stopped wearing them when I stopped wearing contacts and started wearing glasses. It's too annoying to have two bands pressing down behind my ears at the same time. Nasty Gal has some beautiful headbands. Wear headbands!!
