Feline Fashion At The Hollywood Fringe

Bridgit King

Cynthia:  So I was in the Theatre Row section of Hollywood this past Saturday – doing a tech rehearsal for the play I am producing for The Hollywood Fringe Festival (Telenovela Wives of Pancho Villa) – and saw this gorgeous girl wearing a super cool cat sweatshirt.

Marcy:  Don’t tell me. You exuberantly and insanely accosted her with your iPhone and demanded pics to put on our blog.

Cynthia:  Why, yes. I did.

Marcy:  And she didn’t call the police?

Cynthia:  Nope.

Marcy:  Wow. You got lucky this time.

Cynthia:  Her name is Bridgit King and she’s an actor, director, and producer out here in Los Angeles. She’s producing a series of plays called Driven by Demons for the Hollywood Fringe Festival that looks edgy and exciting.

What I love about Bridget is that she captured an effortless California-girl, boldly individualistic/artistic, completely adorable, LA actress look. And she did it with an awesomely neat-o cat shirt!

Cynthia: Sigh… I wish I could pull off shorts and boots and a cat tshirt like Bridget.

Marcy:  Yeah, right. They’d laugh you right out of the old folks home.

Cynthia:  Marcy! I’m not that old.

Marcy:  Sorry. You could pull off shorts and boots and a cat tshirt…

Cynthia:  Thank you.

Marcy (snickering):  …in your dreams.

*Thank you to Bridgit for letting us feature her on our blog. And for not calling the police. To see her play please check out her page on the Hollywood Fringe Festival site here.

Yeah… I think you have to be 25 or younger to get away with it. Such a cute look! Ah well.

I like the cat's outfit. Dracula without the fangs?

Hahaah…a cat shirt, acid washed shorts and boots are hard to pull off, but she looks cute! I applaud her efforts to support felines no matter the challenge 🙂

Oh my gosh – acid wash is everywhere here in Los Angeles! I cannot believe the comeback. And YOU predicted it! Has it made much of an impact in Arizona yet?

Awesome shirt. I'm glad you asked her for a photo! (Very brave, by the way… not sure I could do it!)

When cats are involved I lose all inhibitions! Plus, people who wear cats always seem to be very friendly which makes it super easy!

How cute! My daughter started theater day camp today and Bridgit King looks like the young ladies that are going to be assisting with the production. They are a group of girls that have grown up doing this summer program and just graduated high school, soon to be in college. They were dressed like Ms.King, so it must be a young theater look. The vibe today was so cool, laid back and artsy, with the ages of the students ranging from 6-17. It reminded me of the old TV show Fame and how nice and easy going the young actors were.
Sounds like a fun job you have!
    Have a great evening,

Oh, your daughter is gong to have a blast! Theatre people are the best – so friendly and welcoming to everybody! I swear that is why I enjoyed high school so much. I was part of the theatre group and it made high school a whole lot easier. To this day I am still friends with most of my old group!

So cute! I love her outfit. There are SO many cat items out right now. Forever 21 and Modcloth both have a ton. I hope your play is going great! I really want to get my daughter into theater this summer. Thank you for the reminder! I think she would love it. Especially the set design.

She would love it! Theatre is a great thing for kids to do. It is such a creative outlet and you get to meet so many amazing people. Plus, it is great for self confidence and public speaking later in life. That's my 2 cents! 🙂

I could never ever pull that look off – perfect Cali boho chic with a touch of fun personality!

You know what, Lisa? I think you COULD pull this off! Oh yes I do!

Marcy's so sassy. How could you not accost an actress/director/producer sporting a vampire cat t-shirt? That seems perfectly in line with normal Cynthia behavior. You needed to share an arts lover/cats lover moment. Marcy needs to get with the program. Crazy accosting Cynthia feeds her.

Your posts always make me smile. 🙂

      Ahhhh… thank you, Liz!
It's so funny – I had a friend watching me run up to Bridgit and afterwards couldn't believe it. I just explained that anyone wearing that shirt was more than likely to be outgoing and probably even be happy to be accosted by a blogger.
I don't think Marcy will ever get with the program. lol
