Cynthia: Look who showed up at the last performance of our Hollywood Fringe Festival play, Telenovela Wives of Pancho Villa, in the cutest kitty cat romper?
Marcy: No way!
Cynthia: Yup. It’s her. Heather Pasternak.
Marcy: It is her. OMG. Hello Pasternak! We think you’re a ferociously funny and critically cool chick!
Cynthia: Heather was gifted this romper. Or, skort I should say. So we are not sure where it’s from.
Marcy: A what?
Cynthia: A skort. You know, a skirt from the front and shorts from the back. It was trendy in the ’80’s. I used to wear them all the time.
Marcy stares at Cynthia blankly.
Cynthia: Here’s a view from the back.

Cynthia: See what I mean?
Marcy: No.
Cynthia: Really?
Marcy: That’s a dress.
Cynthia: Oh. You’re right. Well anyway, here’s a close-up of the cat print.

Close-up of Heather’s Cat Print Dress |
Cynthia: Not only is Heather a terrifically talented actor and stand-up comedienne, she is also a cat lover and advocate. And has been her whole life. She inherited it from her mom who used to help out strays in their neighborhood when she was a kid. Here’s Heather with a cat she rescued while living in Harlem, NY when she was a student at NYU.

Cynthia: How come you don’t hug me like that, Marcy? What am I? Chopped liver?

Heather Getting A Kitty Hug From Her Cat |
Marcy: Oh, I’d hug you if you were chopped liver.
*If you are in Los Angeles, you simply must check out Heather’s stand-up act. She performs in the comedy clubs around here a few times a week and you can check out her dates and locations on her website, HelloPasternak.com

Poor Cynthia. To think you'd get more love if only you were chopped liver. Marcy really does have a way with her charm and compassion, doesn't she?
I love that you're featuring someone whose style you adore. That kitty romper is the sweetest, and like those shoes you featured some time ago, are a good indication that the wearer is a crazy cat lady. These things are important in trying to attract "the right people" who "get you".
I love how she styled it with the high booties. So stinkin' cute.

I love the dress with the boots too! I also love that the print is so subtle. It took me a minute to realize that it was cats.
Oh Marcy is brimming with charm and compassion. Ha. NOT. Actually, I do play up her moodiness a lot for the blog. She's normally pretty sweet. She's just been in a bad mood for the past five years – ever since we introduced two new cats into the house. She doesn't like things to change and doesn't like to share me. Ah well. She has a very nice life. She should share, right?!

It was so adorable I couldn't stand it. Marcy sits on me but that's about it. She gets alarmed if I get too close.

Hugs? I'm grateful for any day without a kitty bite. I think Heather's cat is a stuffed cat and she posed it that way.
The kitty fabric is really cute.
Oh no – I was there and it really happened. Really. Like really happened. I even felt like her kitty was letting me know in no uncertain terms that Heather was HIS and I should be soooo jealous. Heather says he hugs her all the time. I'm so thrilled I caught it on my iphone. Just adorable!

Pawesome romper the fabulous guest is wearing! Don't feel too bad Cynthia, my ladycat Clove won't hug me like that either. She says maybe if I were smoked turkey she might consider it, but probably not. Can she and Marcy be followers of the same book of catitude?
Sounds like my Marcy and your Clove are two peas in a pod. I shudder to think what would happen if either one of us were covered in smoked turkey or chopped liver. We'd become chopped up ourselves. Or a least shredded a bit. (Shuddering at the thought) =^-^=

MEWHAHAHA! I wouldn't want to be covered in either considering Clove's sharp little chompers!
Yay! I am glad you got to meet Heather. So fun! I love that romper. The back is so cute. I am trying to remember where I was the other day where I saw something about rescues and cats. Oh no! I am getting old. I can't remember. And I told myself, "tell Cynthia about this!" Tell Marcy my brain is chopped liver.

Just got a really creepy visual of me telling Marcy that your brain is chopped liver so I will not say anything to her!
Hope you had a fantastic Bday! Forgetting stuff is definitely a sign of ageing but I have come to realize that sometimes it is much better to forget things.

did someone say chopped liver brains? yum.
