In Texas With A Horse (of course)

The phone rings. It’s Cynthia calling Marcy.

Marcy answers the phone.

Marcy:  Yeah, what?

Cynthia:  Hi Marcy. It’s me.

Marcy (outraged):  Where ARE you?

Cynthia:  In Texas. I’m trying to do a post about my new Cynthia Rowley shirt that I got for $30 at the Marshall’s in Tomball. It’s really cute. 100% Linen with cotton trim and banded at the cuffs and hem. I thought it looked so fab with my cowboy hat.

Marcy:  Whatever.

Cynthia:  I know! My post is really boring without you so I thought I would get Tawny The Horse to pose with me. To jazz things up. The thing is… well… I ‘m scared of her.

Cynthia and Tawny Face Off

Cynthia: We tried to have a conversation about how this was all going to work but she insisted that she wanted to be the star of my photo. Not my shirt. Or me for that matter.

Cynthia Trying To Reason With A Horse

Marcy:  Horses are so egotistical.

Cynthia:  Well, she was getting a little snippy about it. Mom suggested that I put an apple in my cowboy hat.

Cynthia:  Which was pretty nerve wracking but it got Tawny to agree not to kill me. And – she agreed to pose for a double selfie.

Cynthia And Tawny Go Hollywood

Marcy:  You both look deranged.

Cynthia:  Yeah…Tawny tried to change her mind at the last minute and I kept stepping on the live electrical wire that ran along the bottom of the fence.

Marcy:  Figures.

Cynthia:  This was the best I could do considering I was electrocuted AND dealing with an angry diva horse.

Marcy:  Life in the country is stupid. Come back home so we can do a real post.

Oh my god. The selfies of you and the horse are amazing. I am so smiley because of them. You need to frame that last one. It is perfection. I would send it out on my Christmas card. Because I'm insane. lol Such a pretty outfit for a day on the farm – the crisp white and denim pair perfectly. I've said it before, but I'll say it again. You wear pants better than no one else. Seriously. They look so awesome on your figure. Legs for miles, girl!

Liz! Thank you! For everything you said! Also, making a Christmas card out of my selfie with the horse sounds like a great idea. LOL. I'm insane too. It is the only way to be!

Ha! Thank you! It is the only one I have ever posted. Somehow with a horse it's okay.

Cynthia, you seem to encounter many animals with attitudes. You need a big, floppy dog who will worship you no matter what.
The photos are hysterical, though…worth having to kowtow
    to an arrogant horse.

I am telling you – that horse is a diva! No joke. She really does think she is Angelina Jolie or Marilyn Monroe or something. You should see how she tosses around that blonde mane of hers.
I don't know about a dog. I am just not into them. I wonder what it says about my self esteem that I gravitate towards animals that give me attitude. Hmmmm…

This made my day! Bwahahaha!! Nothing like huge horsey nostrils to steal the show from your cute shirt!

You do look super cute though! The flared jeans, the top, the cowboy hat, they all work so well together! Effortless cowboy chic, madame!

yay! Thank you, Gwen! Oh boy am I out of my element though. I was constantly looking down to make sure that there were no snakes around. I should have been wearing boots but you know… they ruined the flare on my jeans. LOL I am a city girl!

That blouse looks great on you. So glad that you got to do some Texas shopping. I love those close ups of you and the horse! It's nice that you have family that live on such a charming ranch.
    Have a great spring break,

      Thank you, Stacey!
I have to say, it is very peaceful out here. I really could stay another week.

Did you really get electrocuted? Gullible me needs to know! I love that shirt so, so, so much! What a great find. You and the horse look great. You definitely need to show these pictures to Marcy next time she acts out. It will scare her into submission when she sees your big friend. With his big teeth!

You look great! And so happy!

Okay so I was not embellishing (i mean lying) this time. LOL I really did forget to unplug the fence and kept backing up against the wire that ran along the bottom. It is not a strong electrical wire thank goodness. Just enough to keep the dogs from digging under the fence and running away. It felt like a bee sting. I am such a klutz. Ah well.

Hey! Thought I'd left a post on this one, but now I'm wondering who's site I left it on. 🙂 Anyway, I said that's a great pic of you…you remind me of one of those cool models from the 70's…like Alli McGraw. I also don't trust horses…they either want to kick you or throw you as far as I'm concerned. 🙂

    • Reply MarcyVeryMuch April 3, 2014 at 5:55 am

      Hey Merrie!
You did leave it on my blog but on the previous post. I knew what you were talking about so no worries. I do the same thing. So many blogs to read and comments to make it can get confusing! LOL Here was my super duper loooong response.
Thanks, Merrie! I love Ali McGraw. I think I love the '70's style so much because I was a pre-teen at that time and wanted to be older and fashionable. That style was something I wanted to aspire to. I cannot tell you how happy I am that bell bottoms are officially back.
OMG – I am with you on the horse thing. I am scared of horses. They are so big and unpredictable.
