ModCloth’s Mew And Me Forever Flats Review

Did my cat flats stand up to two days of standing up at CatConLA? …

(buying via the affiliate links may result in Marcy and Penelope Kitten getting more treats)

Cynthia:  And the answer is. YES!

I was so excited when ModCloth offered to send me cat shoes to wear at my Marcy Very Much booth at CatConLA.

Marcy:  “Excited”? That’s putting it mildly.

Flashback to the Wednesday before CatConLA.

Cynthia jumps up and down and cheers.

     Cynthia:  Cat shoes cat shoes

I’m gonna wear cute cat shoes.

                       Cat shoes cat shoes

I’m gonna look cute in mah cat shoes.

                        Cat… Shoes… Yeah! (jazz hands)

penelope kitten (squeaking):  yum. i love cashews.

Back To Present.

Marcy:  Whatever.

Cynthia:  Marcy! It was thrilling to have ModCloth – the original moggy mothership – offer to outfit my dogs for CatConLA. Thrilling.

Marcy:  Must you gush? Must you? Can you not play it cool? For once in your life?

Cynthia:  Never! So – I chose the grey Mew and Me Forever Flats by TUK –

– over the Up Your Alley Flats in Pink Dots (also by TUK).

Cynthia (suddenly serious and shaking her head):  Gosh, what a tough decision.

Marcy:  That’s putting it mildly.

Flashback to Wednesday afternoon, aka “The Shoe Summit”.

Cynthia stares raptly at the computer weighing the pros and cons between the two shoe styles.

Cynthia:  The grey are understated and classic. Plus, the reviews say they are true to size.

penelope kitten (squeaking):  get the grey.

Cynthia:  The pink dots are fun and kitschy.

penelope kitten:  get the pink dots.

Cynthia:  But, the reviews say they may run small. I don’t have time to return them if they don’t fit.

     penelope kitten:  get the grey.

Cynthia:  But the pink dots are adorable.

penelope kitten (agreeing):  totes adorbs. get the pink dots.

Cynthia:  But as an ‘over-forty’ do I really want to run the risk of looking kooky rather than cute?

     penelope kitten:  get the grey.

Cynthia:  It’s CatConLA! Everyone is kooky. That’s the point.

penelope kitten:  get the pink dots.

This goes on for another hour.

Back To Present.

Cynthia:  In the end, I got the grey and it was the right decision for me.

They fit perfectly right out of the box, they looked really nice with my Marcy Very Much KittyFace Emoji tank/red cat ears (see photo at top), and there was a cushiony sole to keep my feet from getting tired whilst standing on the hard concrete floor for 18 hours.

The only negative was that they rubbed the back of my foot pretty hard on the first day. So, the next day I just put some band aids on my heels and all was fine. Yay!

What I really love about the grey cat flats is that I can wear them as everyday shoes since they are subtle and go with everything in my closet!

Or, you know…

Marcy (suspiciously):  Know what?

Cynthia (innocently):  You know, get some new cat clothes to go with the flats. Say… (suddenly yelling and shoving the computer at Marcy) this supercute coral cat tee that just showed up on ModCloth’s new arrivals!

penelope kitten (squeaking):  supercute.

Cynthia:  Wait. Maybe this one is just as cute?

penelope kitten (squeaking):  superdupercute.

Marcy stalks off as Cynthia and Penelope Kitten start what looks to be another hours long “Shirt Summit”.

Love those shoes!! They are purrfect! 😉 That’s quite a test to wear new shoes for 18 hours!

      Oh yeah! Quite the test!

And they’re vegan! The grays were a good go-with-everything choice.
If they made the pinks for children lots of little girls would be stumbling all over mezmerized by their happy-cat feet.

Kewl that they are vegan…and I agree the gray was the right choice!!! Ha, that Penelope is quite the agreeable discusser! I have a friend where, when we have to make choices, the other one’s job is to say “pick that one” and so it is!

Oh that is the best way to do it – get a trusted friend who is not afraid to let you know what is best on you!!

Meeewwww!! I wanna a pair of those cute cat flats, they look beautiful on you. I only have a mouse flats but it would be fun to wear one feet with the cat and the other with the mouse flat haha. Love the fact that they are vegan. Thanks for sharing and have a purrfect day !

Hi Ivan! You would look fab in the cat flats! If you wore one cat flat and one mouse flat you would be required to run around in a human vs. feet game of cat and mouse!Or something like that! Lol – you know what I mean!

I agree, that would be a hard decision for me since both shoes are cute. I love the black cat on pink but you can never go wrong with grey. My biggest complaint with shoes is the shaffing on the back too. I sometimes use the Dr. Shoells padding.
I got so excited looking at the ModCloth new arrivals section yesterday when I came upon yet another cat shirt. This new one has a black cat and mentions something about bookstore kitties. I thought you would love it too!
    Have a great weekend,
