Moggy Must-Haves At ModCloth

Check out ModCloth’s latest cat fashion!

Cynthia:  The moggy mothership that is ModCloth has some new super cute cat merch!

Marcy:  I thought we agreed you look insane wearing cats on your clothes.

Cynthia:  It depends on how crazy and loud the print.

Marcy:  Oh wait! Never mind. We agreed you look insane in just about everything.

Cynthia:  Marcy, please be nice to me today.

Marcy:  I am nice. I can’t help it if you’re insane.

Marcy stares at Cynthia without blinking.

Cynthia (abruptly):  ModCloth just never stops with their cat themed items. Some are weird and downright tacky, but I recently found some really cute and wearable cat stuff.

Here’s an adorable cat skirt by ModCloth’s own house brand Bea + Dot. This skirt is so popular it’s on its second run.

Cynthia:  I love the high waist – the knee length – and that it looks almost neutral – but then when you look at it close-up – Bam! Cat heads! Weird and tacky, I admit. But kinda wonderful.

They also added a few awesome cat tees!

Cynthia:  And some pretty and delicate cat jewelry.

Cynthia:  So fun! So cute! So happy happy happy! Don’t you think, Marcy?!

Marcy stares at Cynthia without blinking.

Cynthia:  Marcy, I wish you would stop being so catty and judgmental for just … like … a moment.

Marcy stares at Cynthia without blinking.

Marcy:  No.

I love how whimsical and fun their cat fashions are! At first I thought the skirt had a floral print and then I realized it was cat faces. I’m also loving those first 2 cat tees and the earrings.

Ask Marcy if I should get them all and wear them at the same time! 🙂

I asked. Marcy says not to worry – you are so stylish that even if you wear all that you will look fabulous.
Aren’t the cat heads deceiving? Love it!

    Hey Marcy –
What’s so bad about weird and tacky??? Dolly Parton made a whole career out of it!
AND I find it a little odd that you’re so against clothes and jewelry that have your face on them.
If I had anything resembling a waistline, I’d be all over that skirt…
    Don’t listen to her, Cindy!
You wear your cat stuff with pride!
Weird and tacky cat chicks unite!!! WOO!

Marcy, I think the disembodied cat heads have you freaked out and you’re displacing your anxiety with hostility toward our dear Cynthia. Please consider that the designer of the fabric was a cat lover and meant it as a tribute.

Cindy you have such a great eye for this stuff! Marcy just doesn’t get it. Maybe you should find her some dog-themed clothes.

I love ModCloth and all of the cat items they provide. I still need to wear my cat/book skirt but with these hotter days I have been loving the Maxi skirts. I have the black cat tee wish listed and they seem to always have it in stock. I have read that it runs really small too.
By the way, have you heard any news from Jenni of Gnome Lover? We all miss her and I was curious if anyone knows anything.
    Take care,
    Stacey

I have not heard anything from Jenni. I know – we all miss her! I hope she is okay. I click on her blog every now and then and check out the comments section to she if she is replying to anyone but she has been silent. I feel funny about emailing her privately because she was adamant about the fact that she was taking a break. I hope she checks into her site to see the outpouring of love she is getting. Hope she comes back soon!

Cute! I do love ModCloth for its whimsical aesthetic. That’s rare, especially in plus size fashion, so it’s awesome to see them embracing the kitschy, playful, and twee! I also agree that the skirt is quite understated for a “cat skirt.” I think it’s the dusky, muted palette. If it was bright colors, it would probably look insane with bobbing cat heads popping up everywhere. But like you said, from a distance you might confuse it for a flower or something.

I also think the Cute Crusader top is adorable. With a pair of jeans and those ballet flats with embroidered ears and whiskers, it’d be purrfect!

Ok, so I’ll admit I bought some Charlotte Olympia Raffia kitty flats during the recent end of spring sales.

I love the cat skirt. I have never bought anything from Modcloth. Maybe it’s time to look again…

OMG I want to see those shoes!!!! How fun!!!
Modcloth is hit or miss. Some stuff is very cheaply made and other stuff is very nice and well made. Be sure to check the details and the designer. The good news is that they have an easy return policy.
