Wooly Toggle Coat by Free People |
Cynthia: Greetings from Tomball, Texas. I am surrounded by two loud paparazzi dogs. They must think I’m a Kardashian the way they hound me all day. Also, a diva horse who thinks she’s Marilyn Monroe.
Cynthia: And a cat who won’t look at me. We’ll call her Greta Garbo.
Cynthia: Looks like I have a little Hollywood here in Tomball. However, I do miss my Marcy and hope she won’t be too mad at me when I get home.
My mom thinks I look like Winnie the Pooh in my coat. I can’t decide if that’s a good thing. I mean, really. How IS one one supposed to feel when they are compared to an old man cartoon bear without pants?
This is the Free People Wooly Toggle Coat. I do love it. It’s wool. It’s cozy and unstructured feeling – like a big blanket. It has a big floppy hood that has kept me warm against the frigid Houston wind this week.

Cynthia: Those big ugly boots are my step-dad’s from 30 years ago. My bucket for holding horse feed is probably from Walmart. The dogs are from the pound.
Does anyone else have a difficult time leaving their pets to go out of town? Do you think about them? Or is it out of sight out of mind?
Here’s my first attempt at video on my new iphone. Now I just have to learn how to edit.
Cynthia: Yes. I know. I run like a girl.

Hi Marcy! I LOVE that coat. I don't see Winnie the Pooh at all, but are we missing the pantless photos? ; )
The video will not show up on my iPad. Darn! I would have liked to have seen it. One day I will have a real computer. Hopefully.
What a beautiful horse. And the cat that won't look at you. Will she let you pet her? Does she know who you are? Or rather that you live with her queen? She is a beautiful mottled color. Where is my big fluffy white doggy? So cute. And the boots are great, too!

I'm a cat, I don't wear pants. Every time Cindy calls me Marcy FancyPants I have to remind her that I don't wear pants. Do YOU wear pants? 😉 I heard a rumor that maybe you don't.

Hi Jenni,
Yes – the tortie does let me pet her. She is just very independent.
That's my sister's dog! I will get some more pics of him when I go back.
Ugh. It doesn't show up on my ipad either. Do you blog on your ipad? I use blogspot for my blog and could not figure it out so I had to lug my computer with me on my trip.
I think you have the makings of a reality show here!
Hmmmm… only if I can get the big bucks for it!

That coat looks great on you. It looks like you are having a great time in Texas. I have never been there but I have heard that the shopping is fun. I would imagine that the consignment stores are filled with goodies. And you are in the land of the queen blogger Courtney from the show What Courtney Wore. Did you catch that show? It was interesting and fun.
The farm looks like a nice place to relax and have a nice vacation. Does your sister have a lot of fruit or flowering trees along with the animals?
Looks like fun,
Stacey
Hi Stacey!
Thank you! I am happy to report that the coat kept me warm. It was soooo cold in Texas.
I caught a couple of episode of the Courtney show and I keep meaning to check out her blog. I think she is in Dallas? I was in a town near Houston. It was nice and quiet. No flowering or fruit trees this time of year but it does look really lush in the summertime. There are some great antique stores in the town. My family likes to go into Houston to check our the consignment stores. I am going back in a few weeks and I may just have to check them out!

You have such a lovely cute blog Cynthia!! I laughed about Winnie the Pooh, but I don't think the coat makes you look like Winnie at all!! I actually love toggle coats and think yours is adorable!!
Awwww… thank you, Sayaka!!!
I had a toggle coat when I was a little kid and have had a fondness for them ever since. I am so glad they are in style this year. The nice thing is that my mom did mean the Winnie the Pooh comparison as a compliment. lol… Moms…
