There is a loud commotion in the stairwell as Penelope Kitten pulls her little green wagon up the steps.

CRASH

Penelope Kitten bursts through the front door.

penelope kitten (squeaking): i’ve got the balls for the ball room at CatCon!

PK then tips over her little green wagon and hundreds of balls come rolling out and cover the living room floor.

Marcy: Our Marcy Very Much booth is in the Ballroom. It’s an actual Ballroom. Not a ball room.

penelope kitten: and i’ve got the balls! ping pong balls, golf balls, baseballs, basketballs, foosballs, soccer balls, magic 8 balls, cotton balls, paper balls, balls of yarn, beach balls, tennis balls, and disco balls.

Marcy:  It’s cat artists and businesses. There will be cat art and cat jewelry and cat furniture and cat toys and famous cats and cat people. No balls.

Cynthia rushes into the living room, not realizing Penelope has turned it into a ball pit, and immediately trips. She flies through the air and lands face down on the carpet, covered in balls.

Cynthia’s Voice (from under the balls): It’s CatCon’s 10 year anniversary! We’re at Table V29 in the Ballroom.

penelope kitten: but no balls?

Cynthia (poking her head up): We’re going to have a ball at CatCon! August 2 + 3 at the Pasadena Convention Center.

penelope kitten: gasp. i’ve got to get the signs up.
