Cynthia: I wonder if we’ll see lots of cat costumes tonight?
Marcy: I don’t know. You people seem to dress like cats all the time lately. It would be redundant.
Cynthia: Marcy, don’t forget your BIT (Big Important Tip).
Marcy: You mean BITE. Big Important Tip, Everyone.
Cynthia: Okaaaay.
Marcy’s Cat BITE:
Marcy: Keep your kitties indoors this evening and report any cases of cat cruelty to the authorities. Tonight can be very dangerous for us cats. Mean people abound on Halloween. We need to take the tricks out of Trick-or-Treat.
Cynthia: Treats-n-Treats!
Marcy: I’ll take a Mouse Lollipop and some Candy Catnip.

That is great advice Cynthia. People can be so cruel and crazy. I wish it was not so. I got my cat from the shelter right before Halloween. She was black. I have heard that they no longer allow black cats to be adopted around Halloween. Is that true? It seems like it would be a valid decision.
I hope your Halloween was great. What did you do?

Yes, usually shelters and rescues do stop adopting out black cats for the month of October. Although, I am sure exceptions are made for awesome peeps like you and your husband. Craigslist is full of ads looking for black cats in October. It is so creepy and so sad.
I am boring. I stayed home for Halloween. It gets so crazy around here with the big parade in West Hollywood, I am happy to stay in! 🙂
