Marcy enters with a rolly suitcase.
Marcy: Ok. Bye.
Cynthia (typing and not looking up): Where are you going?
Marcy: Sigh. I told you this morning. I’m catching the red-eye out of the Hollywood/Burbank Airport.
Cynthia: Why?
Marcy: Sigh. I told you. I’m flying across the country to check on my stockists.
penelope kitten (squeak): you’re gonna stalk some socks?
Marcy (exasperated): Stockists – retail stores that are selling my Marcy Merch. We’re at Up Pup ‘N’ Away in the Hollywood/Burbank Airport –
Kitschy Cat Shack in Hollywood, Florida –
and in Portland, Oregon we’re at the newly opened ROAR.
penelope kitten: squeak!
Marcy: Yeah. Well. While you may be all “squeak squeak, I’m famous. I’m getting more likes on IG than you, I’m in a published book -“…
penelope kitten (squeak): 2 published books. soon to be 3.
Marcy: Yeah well – I’m still the one making the big bucks. I’m still the one keeping this whole operation afloat. I’m still the one with my name in the title and my likeness on the logo.
penelope kitten: not for long. working on a new graphic now. see?
Penelope Kitten flashes her almost finished black cat graphic.
Marcy (refusing to have her monologue interrupted): So. If you don’t mind. And… even if you do mind, please call me a taxi. I’m on my way to the two Hollywoods (California and Florida). And Portland. To check on my stockists and maybe even sign a few pawtographs.
Marcy tosses her head and dramatically struts out of the house with her rolly suitcase in tow.
penelope kitten (resuming work on her book): let’s see. how do you spell narcissist?

Marcy, maybe you should wait on the Florida jaunt. They’re still cleaning up after Irma. Stick to the west coast but bring your fire extinguisher.
