Marcy’s Monday Moggy Meditation Movie | Take 3

Don’t blink!

Cynthia:  Okay so this video is not as meditative as it is a big kick in the butt to wake up this Monday morning.

Marcy:  Or rather a fabulously frightening feline frolic to the face.

Cynthia:  The question is – why do cats wiggle their butts before they pounce, Marcy?  It doesn’t seem to serve any purpose whatsoever.

Marcy:  Whatsoever my butt.

Cynthia:  What?

Marcy:  Exactly.

=^..^=

It looks like he’s winding up! Cute kitty, he’s very intense.

It looks as if the kitty is trying to contain its excitement and the front part of the body is cooperating but as joy tumbles from the brain down the spine to the butt, the butt can’t handle it and goes crazy.
Is that a reasonable theory, Marcy?

      maybe. maybe not.

It’s something to do with the eyes, right Marcy?
Look at that cat’s eyes… so focused and determined. Maybe… in order to keep that focus, the adrenaline of the impending pounce has to go somewhere.
    OR
It’s a distraction? You know, “Hey, baby – check out my butt so you don’t notice I’m about to eat you/no one else swoops in on my kill.” I mean, animals seem to be very into other animals’ butts, so I can see where this idea makes sense.
I love how the ginger kitty is not impressed at all.

      Hmmmm… both theories seem correct!

So Marci, when are you and the other cats gonna start letting Cynthia film YOUR butts, etc?

Girl, (Cynthia) I feel your pain. Well not exactly on this matter, bc am totally clueless about iMovie. BUT I cringe whenever the Mac system tells me to do an update on the computer or iPad, since there is always some resulting change that I don’t understand. Ugh, since Yosemite I barely can work the new photo program. Like…how to delete unwanted photos. In the old iPhoto program, you just clicked on a pic, hit delete and it went away. Now no matter what, the unwanted pic stays, won’t delete, won’t drag into trash, nothin. Don’t get me started….. But any advice welcomed. Cats? Any ideas?

Me too me too me too!!! I panic at any updates. And how do photos I deleted from my iphone stay on my computer? It is all so monumentally confuuuuuusing. I am so sorry – obviously I have no advice.
Maybe we need to form an Apple support group. Hi – my name is Cynthia and I am scared of my MAC.

If I am understanding the question, can’t you connect the iPhone to the computer, and then the pics migrate over to the computers photo program, then you can delete the phone pics? DO NOT do this and believe it, until you ask someone who really knows. Have you ever gone to an Apple Store? You can make an online appt with the Genius Bar people, and they will tell you stuff. I did it once in the early iPad days. It was free because it was just a quick consult, I think you can also pay them for expensive repair type stuff, but dunno. Also they have free classes about stuff, I did this as well with the iPad. Also sometimes I ask my 28 year old niece. Those younguns know Much Mac.

Hi Vik! – this is in reply to your comment way below. I think I have done that – I just get confused and now have a lot of pictures that transferred from my phone to the computer. I really just need to play around with my computer more. I have gone to the Apple store for some classes but I find they are not in depth enough. Luckily I have Freddy. Although I really need to not rely on him so much.

I know why the do it! Call on me! Call on me! – They are building up kinetic energy in their hing legs so they can pounce longer. (Plus it’s super cute and puts humans in a weak state of mind, making it easier to get us to do their bidding.) 🙂

So there really is a scientific reason? Awesome! And thank you!

So you’ve seen the video meme juxtaposing the cat shaking its butt with Shaq doing the same move right? It kills me every time and gives me a huge belly laugh. Case in point:

What I want to know is why someone looped the video to last over ONE HOUR?! lol That was the top Google search result. I feel like an hour of that would be tiresome and ruin the hilarity. But the six second clip I attached above is just enough. hahaha
