OMG. There’re gonna be so many fab feline finds at CatCon! …
(buying via the affiliate links may result in Marcy and Penelope Kitten getting more treats)
Sunday evening before CatCon.
Cynthia, Marcy, and Penelope Kitten convene at the kitchen table to go over the CatCon Shopping List they’ve been compiling for the past month.
penelope kitten (squeak): here ya go. all typed up. single spaced.
Cynthia: Uh oh. This list is five pages long.
penelope kitten: yeah yeah. lots of great stuff.
Cynthia (shaking her head): Sorry kitties. We simply can’t afford to buy everything at CatCon.
Cynthia whips out a black Sharpie and starts slashing.
penelope kitten: squeak!
Marcy: Gasp. How rude.
Cynthia continues to slash until she has it narrowed the list down to one page. Single spaced.
Cynthia: Ok! Here are our 9 must-have items for CatCon 2017. We reserve the right to add to this list if more funds become available.

Cynthia, will you be my personal shopper? I’ll take one of everything and I don’t even have a cat.
I could use the bowls for soup and maybe my doggie would enjoy catnip toys, who knows?
The cat scratcher bed would make an interesting conversation piece sitting on the coffee table.
CatCon countdown is on!
Woo hoo! 4 days till CatCon!!
I need the Bowie tshirt like I need air.
And the bowls in that stand — I’ve been looking for something like it. How did you slash this down to NINE items?? I’m so screwed next weekend…
I had no choice. I simply can’t spend thousands of dollars at CatCon. It was veeeeery difficult. Maybe only bring a certain amount of cash to CatCon and no credit cards? Or, maybe a prepaid credit card with a certain amount loaded in and no cash? We must devise a strategy. Good news for me is that I will be crazy busy at my booth and won’t have much time to get away to shop. I fear for my friends, though! Scary times, scary times…
Oh — good ideas!
I like the prepaid CC idea. I’m also thinking of looking around, and treating myself to ONE special item, and then it will feel that way — special. Not just me, grabbing at all the stuff that looks cool (ya know, all of it!). btw: do you still recommend Sunday, for those of us crowd-averse cat fanatics?
It’s so hard to say for sure – but last year and the year before – Sunday late afternoon was the slowest and best for crowd-averse cat fanatics.
I have no idea how you narrowed that list down. That elevated cat feeder actually makes me want to get a cat!! It’s beautiful! Maybe I’ll get one for my invisible cat. And that Bowie T is awesome!!!
Hmmmm… maybe you should get a real cat. Or three.
I was just told CatCon is day after tomorrow!!! Yay!!! Yikes!!!
Yes! Are you going?!! Come by my booth to say hi! Or meow!
I’m really enjoying this feature on CatCon vendors and artisans! These magnets are the cutest. I feel like the vendor selection will be like an Etsy of fabulous shops all curated around cat love. And I like that everything you’ve shown is kind of hip and whimsical and really neat. So many little surprises and special items!
I was setting up today and it is exactly like you say – an IRL Etsy shopping mall. Almost all of the vendors are small businesses. Everyone is also incredibly sweet and quirky and fun. You would love it! Btw, the creators of CatCon are going to have a DogCon next year!! I’ll keep ya posted!
1: These look amazing. 2: YOU are amazing for always promoting other cat vendors on your blog. 3: I cannot WAIT to see you rock that cat Bowie shirt on the blog!! SQUEAK!
I loooooove cat vendors! It’s one of the reasons I started the blog. Plus, they are all so nice and quirky and creative. Just sweethearts all around. 🙂 Oh – and I bought the Bowie shirt for a friend. Can’t wait to give it to her! 🙂 🙂
