Marcy + Penelope Kitten at a wine tasting
(buying via the affiliate links may result in more treats for Marcy + Penelope Kitten)
Marcy and Penelope Kitten are sitting at the kitchen table swirling and sniffing their wine glasses.
Marcy: The Pinot Meow has such a lovely nose. Mmmm…Black cherry and currants with a hint of rose.
Marcy swirls and sips thoughtfully. Penelope gulps it down.
penelope kitten (squeaking): mmm. jammy.
Marcy pours theThe White Kittendel in their glasses. She swirls and sips thoughtfully.
Marcy: Excellent. Light and sweet. It will pair well with our cat grass.
Penelope gulps it down
penelope kitten: yum! pink!
Marcy: By the bye, I do believe the Pinot Meow will go best with our Friskies Mixed Grill Paté.
Just then, Hamlet and Scooter come running onto the blog and crash the girls’ wine tasting.
Hamlet: OMG WE JUST SAW THE BESTEST… MOST AWESOMEST… MOST FANTABULOUS… RAP VIDEO ABOUT THE CAT WINE FROM APOLLO PEAK!
Scooter: Yeah. We wanna “mix it with the beats” with Moshow and Ravioli and the hot cat ladies!
Marcy: Fine. We’re leaving. We’ll open a bottle of The MosCATo and watch Sex and the City reruns.
penelope kitten (squeaking): yeah. yeah. yum.
The girls pad off to the TV room while Hamlet and Scooter devour the cat wine with their “beats” and hoping the hot cat ladies will think they’re cool and righteous dudes.
Marcy: Those stupid boy tabbies know they’re neutered right?!
*We heart Apollo Peak Pet Wines!
Their wine is (of course) non-alcoholic and DOES NOT contain grapes! The main ingredient is beets with organic cat nip, peppermint, and/or chamomile. All sourced from the USA and made in Colorado!
They even make dog wines!
Plus, Apollo Peak is just a super cool company. We were lucky to meet them at CatCon last year and they were so sweet and supportive and spectacular. It was exciting to watch their brand soar from a small Colorado business to the big time in the space of what seemed like a nano-second.
So of course I was thrilled when founder, Brandon, sported one of my Pink PussyCat Bracelets on Facebook last month in support of Planned Parenthood with the caption –
“Worn By A Man. Support For The Women. Apollo Approves”.
Cool, right?! ♥♥♥
The rap video is hysterical. Did you taste the wine, Cynthia? Looks like the kitties are enjoying it.
How nice to have them participate in your happy hour. I picture all of you lounging around the living room sipping as the sun goes down.
Love seeing a man wearing a pink pussycat bracelet. It looks good on his hairy arm. Maybe the start of a trend!
I haven’t tasted it but now that you suggested it – why not?! I’ll let you know how it goes for humans. And yes – love that all humans and cats can now enjoy Happy Hour together!
hope so. real men wear pink.
The way you described it, makes it sound really good! Did you try it Cindy? The cats look adorbs drinking it and I love the video!!
LOL why does every one want to know if I tried it?! I am going to have to try it now and report back later. Update forthcoming! Stay tuned! =^..^=
Okay crazy peeps!
Tried it! It tastes like beets and what I think is catnip! I am only assuming it is cat nip because I have not tried cat nip on its own. And I will not. No matter how much you want me to. I will not eat Marcy’s cat nip. Cat wine is as far as I will go. lololol
I LOVE the pics!!!!! Nice to get a look at the boys too. And, I learned a new thing today, I had no idea there was such a thing as pet wine!
Thank you! The girls were being divas as usual when I got the camera out but the boys didn’t care!
Pet wine is fairly new. (I did a post on a horrible cat wine a few years ago that was made with grapes which I had a heart attack about since cats and dogs are allergic to grapes.)
Apollo Peak is the original healthy wine made from beets! I would not trust any company but Apollo Peak with pet wine actually. They are such a wonderful company – animal lovers through and through. Sweethearts. It has been a blast watching them blow up to the big time.
Apologies for the late comment, but I’ve been buried under a pile of stuff. And now, I really, really need a drink.
I notice how THIS is the post and product sample your boys came out for…
Is there anything about this post that isn’t awesome? Especially dude wearing your bracelet. So glad to hear that this is an awesome company, too. We might need to institute cocktail night here!
A comment is never ever late! I am thrilled with every single comment. In fact, I recently got a comment on a post I wrote three years ago! So, seriously – thank you for taking the time out of your day to comment on my posts!!
Yes – the boys barged into the blog with THIS post. They really are such boy boys!
may i suggest you start your cocktail evening with the wonderfully robust, Pinot MEOW?! It is lovely when paired with wet food.
“It is lovely when paired with wet food.”
Ugh. Wrong placement. That was supposed to land under your response to my first comment.
Clearly, I need more Pinot Meow…
Your placement is purrfect. And yes, one always needs more Pinot Meow. May I recommend a designated driver.
no worries. i stole her keys.
So fun! It looks like your kitties are more interested in this pet wine that Jazzy was in a dog beer we got her. The display got so embarrassing that we were fake drinking it to try and coax her. She was having none of it. I just wanted to chat over drinks with my dog, like any reasonably sane person, and she had to go and poop on my party. Sigh.
Dog beer?!! I hadn’t heard of that. Awesome! LOL – I love that half the world is dog and/or cat crazy. Gives me hope for humanity!
Oh yay! Finally Hamlet and Scooter get to appear on the blog! *throws confetti at the boy cats*. They are all adorable, especially Scooter with his little tongue sticking out. Cat wine is such a cute idea. And how cool about the bracelet! I love that you cat people are banding together!
I have to say, cat business people are so sweet and supportive! Across the board they are all so helpful and encouraging and fun and enthusiastic!
Btw, Scooter may look cute but he is our resident “crabby tabby”.
yeah. he’s kind of a jerk. don’t let that cute pink tongue and pretty face fool you.
