Bunnies + Cats In Pretty Pixel Pictographs

Clover Chroma is a digital artist we love

Wednesday afternoon.

Cynthia is in her closet.

Distractedly performing her daily lint rolling ritual.

Purging her clothes of accumulated cat hair. When –

Penelope charges into the closet with her computer secured under her arm and dragging the printer behind her.

Cynthia starts sneezing, trips over Penelope’s printer cord, and lands sideways onto a huge ball of waded up sticky roller sheets.

penelope kitten (squeaking):  hi hi.

Cynthia:  Oh hi, P. What’s up?

Penelope opens the computer to the Clover Chroma Etsy shop.

penelope kitten:  i ordered these pretty pixel pictographs. please print them for me.

Cynthia takes a look.

Cynthia:  Oh, these are so sweet and whimsical and unique! It looks like the artist draws an original design over a photograph of nature.

Cynthia:  I love how the lines are clean and simple but the photograph adds a pop of color and another layer of visual interest.

Cynthia:  How amazing that when  these two basic elements are combined, so much personality and depth shines through. It’s nature combined with technology!

Cynthia (marveling):  Artists are magical, aren’t they?

Cynthia:  Awww… what a great find, P! I love them!

penelope kitten:  me too.

Cynthia:  So where are you going to hang them?

penelope kitten:  on the walls of my condo.

Cynthia looks confused.

Marcy:  She means the cardboard Amazon boxes she’s been hoarding all week.

penelope kitten:  yeah yeah.  got two rooms and a patio. so far.

Cynthia:  Really?

Cynthia wanders into the living room to check out P’s new pad.

She stops in her tracks as she sees a giant mound of cardboard, crumpled tissue paper, and ripped-up newspaper strewn all over the floor.

Cynthia:  Gasp.

Horrified, Cynthia rushes back to the computer to print out the artwork Penelope ordered in hopes that it will transform the trash heap into something more palatable. And livable.

=^..^=

Btw, we also positively adore Clover Chroma’s poetic prose.

You have great taste, Penelope. Those are lovely. Will you post pictures of your new condo when it’s fully furnished and decorated? Maybe you can start your own interior design blog.

I am so amazed at how people come up with the most interesting and beautiful ideas!! It makes me feel so left-brained. Good thing you have P-Kitty to help you find these great things!

So glad you liked the write-up, Clover!! We love love love your art! I forgot to mention that green is my favorite color. So green – cats – bunnies – quirkiness – whimsy – all = love for me!

    Ohhh!! Those are lovely!
That last one almost looks like the kitty is in a cuddle pile with some frogs! 🙂

P-kitty — you’re so creative. All my boys do is scratch the couch.

scratching the couch is an art form all in itself you know.

      Hm… It’s kind of like 3D Pollock.

How stinkin’ cute! I actually cooed and awww-ed over the kitty with pink and purple rosettes. How sweet are these?! I like the idea of a gallery wall of dainty little prints. But I’m nearly out of wall space as it is. In every room. Sigh. Maybe I’ll build myself a cardboard condo as an act of solidarity with Penelope?

I hate to imagine what Georgie’s taste in art might be. Probably tackier and more colorful even than mine…

Your cardboard box would be much more prettier and whimsical than Penelope’s pile of garbage! You never know – Georgie might surprise you and have excellent and chic taste! LOL
