Cynthia:  We love artist Heather Mattoon and her series, Cats in Clothes!

penelope kitten (squeaking):  luv!

Marcy:  Yeah. She’s the best!

Cynthia:  We even got to meet Heather in person at CatConLA last year.

Marcy:  Uh oh. Did you geek out and freak out like you did with Kate Benjamin?

Cynthia:  Uhhh… I…  may have. Yes.

Marcy (groaning):  Oh no … I hope you didn’t embarrass us.

Cynthia:  Well, it was very exciting. Heather is just lovely in person and when I meet someone whose work I so admire I tend to get a little mushy and gushy.

penelope kitten:  mush and gush is yum.

Cynthia:  Anyway… my original point is that her new wall calendar for 2017 is by far the BEST calendar for 2017.

Marcy:  The BEST.

Cynthia:  Check it out… it’s got her serious take on “cats in clothes” whimsy with adorable (verging on hysterical) captions of each subjects “likes and dislikes.”

 

penelope kitten (squeaking):  i wanna be a cat in clothes!

Cynthia:  Ok!

penelope kitten:  should i wear my karate kid karategi?

or my ghostbusters coveralls?

or my pink ballerina tutu?

Cynthia:  How about your purple argyle sweater and some mittens? It’s cold out tonight.

penelope kitten:  k.

Cynthia:  What about you, Marcy? Are you going to be a cat in clothes?

Marcy:  Oh yeah! Amazon is delivering my new 2017 Prada cocktail gown any minute now.

Cynthia’s eyes widen in fear as she rushes off to check her recent credit card activity.
