Custom Pet Portraits by Sidekick Portraits

Marcy commissions her own portrait by Sidekick Portraits…

(buying via the affiliate links may result in Marcy and Penelope Kitten getting more treats)

8 am Monday morning.

Marcy saunters into the bedroom, aghast that Cynthia is still sleeping and decides to do something about it.

Marcy stands on Cynthia’s chest – nose to nose.

Marcy (loudly):  HEY!

Cynthia opens her eyes to a face-ful of Marcy.

Marcy:  Open the computer. I think my pet portrait from Sidekick Portraits arrived.

Cynthia (throwing off the covers):  Ohhhh… how exciting! I can’t wait to see which photo you submitted!

Cynthia walks excitedly into the office with Marcy following on top of her heels.

Cynthia:  I just love how Allison, the artist and founder of Sidekick Portraits, digitally hand paints over a photograph. She creates the most amazing and interesting pet portraits.

Even bunnies!

Cynthia:  Don’t you just love how they’re paintings but look so life-like? Allison is a master at capturing the essence of each animal.

Cynthia turns on her computer and heads straight to the Marcy gmail account.

Cynthia:  So which photo did you submit? A cute one? A sweet one? A funny one? You know we are trying to change your image a little. Nice’n you up a tad.

Marcy opens her email from Sidekick Portraits.

Marcy:  This one.

Marcy purrs in appreciation.

Marcy:  I love it. Allison captured my essence purrfectly.

Cynthia:  Oh wowza meowza! She did! I love it too! But…

Marcy:  But what?!

Cynthia:  Let’s commission another one! One where you look cute and sweet and funny!

Cynthia searches her iPhone for the cute, sweet, funny photos of Marcy.

Marcy:  Don’t bother. I deleted them. No one messes with my rep. I am the “Hell No Kitty” after all.

*Check out Sidekick Portraits here and here! Allison’s process is easy peasy – just send her a photo of your pet, pick out a size and a background color, and she creates a hand drawn digital piece of art!

Btw, Allison is the artist who designed our “Hell No Kitty” and Penelope Kitten #meow artwork! Mad props and a big thank you to Sidekick Portraits!

Awww… Spike! Sidekick Portraits has a listing for pets that have passed away. And yes – there is at least one – possibly two – photos of Marcy looking sweet. Somewhere. I know it!

Those look so alive and animated, I’m scared they’re gonna jump off the page and bite me (well, the cats, yes, but dogs and rabbits appear to be friendly). Marcy, I feel your paw reaching out to whap me on the nose.
What a great artist Allison is!
