Whimsical, elegant, and finely feline! Long Live Porcelain is a CatConLA vendor we can’t wait to meet! …
4pm. Tuesday afternoon.
Penelope Kitten wanders into the office where Cynthia is working and Marcy is napping.
penelope kitten (squeaking): hi hi.
Cynthia: Oh hi, P. What’s up?
penelope kitten: yeah so i heard you’re taking catconla requests.
Cynthia: Yup. Did you find something you’d like me to get for you?
penelope kitten: yes, please. i’d like this.
Cynthia looks a little worried.
Cynthia: That’s very elegant, Penelope. But, what will you do with… an urn?
penelope kitten: it’s a cookie jar.
Marcy: That’s an urn.
penelope kitten: it’s a cookie jar. it’s for my cookies. i would also like these colorful food dishes.
penelope kitten: this bud vase to grow my catnip.
penelope kitten: and these baseball bats to defend myself against the murder of crows that has taken up residence on the roof next door.
Marcy: Those are salt and pepper shakers.
penelope kitten (squeaking): oh.
Marcy: Although, I guess you could use them to beat down a crow and then season him for dinner.
penelope kitten: yeah yeah. two in one.
Cynthia turns a fresh minty green as Marcy and Penelope Kitten walk away plotting crow wars with salt and pepper shakers in their rare and brief moment of solidarity.

*Be sure to check out Los Angeles based artist, Cara Long, and her beautiful porcelain at her Long Live Porcelain booth #226 at ConConLA 2016!
June 25th-26th at The Reef in Downtown Los Angeles. More info here.
(btw, the cat urn is also a jar! it’s made with a food-safe glaze. so technically, penelope kitten could store her cookies in it. if she was allowed to eat cookies. yeah – her diet is not going too well. lol)

I guess I should get a “cookie jar” too, P — my diet’s not going so well, either!
These are really beautiful. I love that bud vase.
Yay for CatCon! Looking forward to it!!
Aren’t they just the prettiest? My faves are the shallow bowls.
I am getting really excited for CatCon! Still have so much to do!

Super cute! I love that P-Kitty comes up with her own ideas for things 🙂
She’s a know-it-all that’s for sure! But – you know – a supercute know-it-all!

Penelope has such good taste. Those are beautiful. And the urn as cookie jar is quite practical. When kitty’s cookie-eating days have passed, just rinse it out and…
Excellent point. We are really liking the dual purposes of Cara’s products!

Beautiful. Ha, the dual use urn. Very pretty. My cat’s ashes are in a little plastic box with a plaque that says my beloved pet on it, in my bottom desk drawer. Nobody will be eating cookies outta that thing. Are your crows really like in the pic in the link? Yikes!
The crows are not as bad as in the picture but they are driving our cats crazy lately!
Awwww… so sweet that you’ve got your cat’s ashes… sniff sniff too … I always tear up about that kind of stuff.

These pottery pieces are lovely! They’re sweet and dainty and oh-so-charming! I’m in love with the cat salt and pepper shakers for myself. They look 1950s retro to me. And I agree – I’d totally convert the urn into a cookie jar. Penelope has the right idea. I’m not sure I’d be able to stay behind my own booth to work. I’d want to check out everyone else’s stuff. I hope you have reinforcements! lol

LOL – Freddy will be with me the whole time. I have a feeling I won’t have any time to look at everyone’s stuff. It was crazy last year. Some vendors were talking about how they didn’t get a chance to eat or even us the bathroom! I am hoping to meet a lot of vendors the day before when we all set up.
