March on, Kittens! …
Cynthia opens up her email and starts yelling.
Cynthia: OMG! Marcy!
No answer.
Cynthia: Maaaaaaaarcy!
Cynthia leaps around the apartment looking for Marcy. She finds her hiding out in the cabinet above the fridge.
Cynthia: Hey! Marcy!
Marcy: Yeah what?
Cynthia: We just got accepted as a Resistance Artist at the Women’s March Los Angeles this Saturday, January 20th. We’ll have a table with all the other artists at 1st and Broadway from 9am-4pm.
Cynthia does an odd dance featuring steps from Flashdance, a jig, and the running man.
Cynthia: We’ll be showcasing (and selling) our Pink PussyCat Bracelets and “Hell No Kitty” stuff.
Cynthia adds the chicken to her odd dance repertoire.
Cynthia: Our Pink PussyCat Bracelets represent women’s reproductive rights and go purrfectly with one’s Pink PussyHat.
Cynthia: While our “Hell No Kitty” is a reaction against Donald Trumps’ infamous “grab ’em by the pussy” sexual harassment confession.
Cynthia: And, of course, a portion of the profits from Saturday’s march will go to Planned Parenthood.
Cynthia completes her odd dance with the Karate Kid kick.
Cynthia: What do you think, Marcy?
Marcy: Pussy Power!
Marcy jumps down from the fridge with a thud and performs her own Karate Kid kick.
Marcy: I’m changing our name to Marcy Very MARCH.
penelope kitten (squeaking): can i go too? u can’t spell resister without sister.

So proud you’ll be there adding a much needed dose of whimsy to our century-old struggle for equality.
Thank you!

WOO!!! That’s so great!! I got teary and chills reading this (and slightly confused trying to choreograph your dance in my head)…. and that’s all I got. xo
Ahahahaha… it’s confusing to see in person. Astonishing and confusing and possibly a little troubling.

Yay! This is so awesome!! You should add Elaine’s dance from Seinfeld to your routine.

Oh my gosh – it was so wonderful. Over half a million people were out and the vibe was so positive and inspiring. Unfortunately, I was so crazy busy at my booth that I had no time to check out the artists. That is the not so fun part about doing events – the lead up to the event and then the event itself are so busy and hectic that I miss out on what every one else is doing. The good news is that lots of people were buying everyone’s art!
