We are so excited! Penelope Kitten is featured in the new illustrated book, All Black Cats Are Not Alike, by Amy Goldwasser and Peter Arkle…

3pm. Tuesday afternoon.

Cynthia tiptoes around a sleeping Marcy and hands Penelope Kitten a book.

Cynthia (whispering):  Hey… Penelope… the book you’re in has arrived.

penelope kitten(squeaking loudly):  omg!

Cynthia:  Shhhhhh… don’t let Marcy know or she’ll freak out.

penelope kitten (squeaking softly):  ok. don’t wanna hurt her feelings.

Cynthia:  Exactly. So, let’s read it and then you write a post.

penelope kitten:  yeah yeah.

Penelope Kitten and Cynthia eagerly read the book and love it so much they can barely contain their excitement!

Penelope’s Post:

penelope kitten (squeaking):  hi hi.

From Cynthia:

Oh my gosh, you guys! Amy Goldwasser and Peter Arkle’s book, All Black Cats Are Not Alike, is beautiful! Penelope Kitten is correct –  the illustrations are stunning and the descriptions of each cat (all 50 of them) are hysterical.

We are so honored to be chosen for this endeavor of theirs!

This was a limited edition run with copies going to pre sale and two bookstores – Colette in Paris, and John Derian in New York City. But there are still some books for sale on the ABC website

Just then Marcy races in to the office where Cynthia and Penelope Kitten are clandestinely blogging.

Marcy (flabbergasted and hyperventilating):  Penelope Kitten… (gasp)… is in a book… (gasp)… that is being sold… (GASP)… in PARIS?!

Cynthia and Penelope freeze.

To be continued…

*In the meantime, Penelope Kitten invites you to check out her modeling photo shoot… with her new favorite book!

She’s a natural! I love EVERY picture!!! Poor Marcy though. I hope she doesn’t decide to just run off to Paris and be done with the lot of you!

She may have already left. I haven’t heard from her all day. 😉

      Wanna go with me, Patty?

Wow. Let’s all go to Paris! Marci and I can meet Henri, Penelope can try her hand at the catwalk, we’ll all eat wonderful food and buy out Colette’s inventory of the Black Cat book.

Ohh….I want Penelope Kitty…she’s so sweet 🙂 This post made me so happy! I’m so glad Pkitty is in a book and what a cool concept???? (They captured her cute long ears!!) I can’t wait to see it.

Sorry about the brewing conflict…I would probably lock that book up from now on, so it doesn’t “accidentally” get destroyed. LOL

what was it like working with them? How did they interview you (her) for the book? Did they come by and take photos? So cool!!

        • Reply MarcyVeryMuch November 15, 2015 at 8:34 pm

Awesome. It was just awesome and a joy! So fun! They were so sweet and funny! I sent in some info on PKitty and a photo. And that’s it. They are so talented that’s all they needed. Seriously. Amy Goldwasser’s writing is incredibly quirky and original and engaging. And I don’t know how Peter Arkle managed to capture the essence of Penelope from one photo and some text. But he did! Love love love their work!
