Opening Night of Telenovela Wives Of Pancho Villa

Telenovela Wives Of Pancho Villa

Cynthia and Marcy are running around like headless chickens, screaming and panicking.

Cynthia:  Marcy! The play I am producing and you are costuming – Telenovela Wives Of Pancho Villa – is opening tonight!

Marcy:  I know.

Cynthia:  Well hurry up with that hat.

Marcy:  You hurry up.

Cynthia:  I just thought of five things that need to be done.

Marcy:  So you do them.

Cynthia:  I don’t have time.

Marcy:  I don’t have time either.

Cynthia:  We haven’t even blogged in a week.

Marcy:  There’s no time.

Cynthia and Marcy look at each other and start screaming.

Marcy and Cynthia:  AAAAAACCCCKKKKKK!!!!

They collapse to the floor.

Marcy:  Why don’t you show some rehearsal photos and we can do write ups about the costumes and the costume process next week.

Cynthia:  Good idea. Here it is.

Life in the theatre. An emotional life. A silly life. A fun life. A difficult life. The best life.

Break a leg! (That's just a theatre expression, Marcy, so don't hurt anyone.)

So excited for you! Oh! I hope it was everything you hoped for. I hope you had fun. I am so very humbled by your follow -through and creativity. This is huge news! Congratulations!!!

I hope you celebrated. And I don't mean with Friskies, Marcy.

friskies is the only way to celebrate.

Thank you, Jenni! The show went really well. We sold out and had to add extra chairs. We also got a shout out from Los Angeles Magazine which was really great for us. We have a few more performances this week and hopefully they will go just as well.

Yay! It's opening night…I can't wait to hear how it went :). I love the pink skirts…tell Marcy she did a great job :). You are officially a stylist or clothing designer now!!! Looking forward to hearing how the process worked. I also get these really cute mental images of marcy using the sewing machine…which is super cute 🙂

Ha hahaha – I just got a mental image of Marcy at the sewing machine. But in my image she can't get anything done because she keeps chasing the string.

Can't wait to hear more. You were brave to trust Marcy with the costumes. My cat Margaret would have shredded them.

Not so much trust as someone else to blame if they didn't turn out well. That way I could say – Oh the costumes were bad because they were done by a cat!

      i heard that

So glad you are enjoying it. It has been equal parts marvelous and panic-inducing but always worth it!
