Tis the season.
(buying via the affiliate link above may result in more treats for Marcy and Penelope Kitten)
Due to winter being rainy here in Los Angeles, this spring there is an uptick in flowers, fruit, and … bugs.
Cynthia has the kitties alternating bug duty.
Penelope Kitten disposed of approximately 5 1/2 bugs while on the job.
Marcy is currently on duty as Cynthia blogs.
Cynthia glances over at a half asleep Marcy and sees a small brown oval shape marching over her paw.
Cynthia: Marcy! Wake up! There’s a potato bug on your arm.
Marcy mildly watches the potato bug as it maneuvers off her paw and onto the couch.
Cynthia: Get it! Why aren’t you getting it?
Marcy (yawning): That’s Daryl.
Marcy: Yeah. He’s pretty stupid but… you know… he doesn’t bother me.
Marcy puts her head on her paws and starts snoozing.
Daryl makes his way between the seat cushions and disappears.
Cynthia: I guess I’ll just…I don’t know… BURN THE COUCH?!
Cynthia: Penelopeeeeeee! Heeeelp! There’s a bug!
penelope kitten (squeaking): reporting for duty, sir.
Yay, Penelope, for getting 5 1/2 bugs! But, uh, what happened to that half of a bug she didn’t get?
still looking for it.

Penelope, would you mind taking a trip to Texas? We have bugs galore here and, of course, they are biggest bugs in the country. I’ll also provide all the Friskies you can eat and a comfy couch.
on my way.

It sounds like Marcy better get to werk!! Just think, if you didn’t have the kitties, the bugs would be much worse. Cute pics as always!!
Marcy’s employment at Bug Patrol is terminated.
Love the pics. Marcy looks kind of angelic, huh? I bet that will change after Penlope eats the buggy boyfriend, Daryl!
marcy doesn’t know.
Ha! So many bugs! Georgie is a fly and bee hunter. It’s pretty gross. We’ll hear some buzzing, see her snap her jaw, and then everything goes silent. Ahhh springtime. You’re beautiful but buggy.
Oh gosh, Georgie! Be careful of those bees!
We’re lucky we don’t have that many bugs – but we have pigeons! Lots and lots of pigeons! I’m getting tired of waving my umbrella/handbag/recycling at them and screaming “**** off ****birds!!” so if your Bug Patrol would like to come over for a bit of fun and wholesale slaughter, we have seven floors of balconies and ledges here that the damn pigeons can roost on. 😉
My grandma was amazing at killing bugs. She’d take a wet dishcloth, stand reeeally still, wave it around like a cowboy with a lasso, and BAM! Exit bug, fly or wasp from this mortal realm. But does she count, being human and all?
PS: Penelope, you are the cutest!
You’re Grandma is like a super hero!!
coming right over!
on it. yum.
(thank u luv u)
