CatSpotting In Texas

Cynthia:  I think I must have images of cats seared into my eyeballs. I swear I was in Texas for less than an hour before I spotted this cat on a building.

Cynthia:  Only in rural Texas would you have entire buildings that are open for a mere few weeks in the summer just to sell fireworks. There’s that much space out here. For a Los Angeles girl, this is mind boggling.

Oh! I did not let on to Marcy that I was leaving. Or, that I would be sharing my presence with another cat, three dogs, and a horse.

Cynthia:  What she doesn’t know can’t make her mad. And besides, Freddy will take great care of her and she’ll hang out with her best bud, Scooter. Maybe she won’t even know I’m gone!

Cynthia considers how possibly delusional this sounds. Especially since Marcy will certainly smell dog on her when she gets back to Los Angeles.

Cynthia:  Hmmmm… maybe I’ll worry about that later. In the meantime, I will enjoy the scenery and look for more Texas cats.

Cynthia:  Although, I keep running into dogs around here.

So, where did you go? Visiting fam? I used to live in Houston for a while and that same shop was near my apt…even though it's the 4th largest city in america it's so spread out just like where you are. That's a cool lookin' cat…interesting coat pattern (god…i am such a cat nerd…i'm over here judging cat coats…lol)

      Hi Merrie!

Yes! I am very near Houston – in Tomball, visiting family. I flew into IAH. Where in Houston were you living? I haven't been back in a couple of years and am just shocked at how built up and trendy Houston is becoming. It's crazy!
I love that you are judging cat coats.lol That's my mom's cat. She's a true Tortie and very independent.

Wow! You made that fireworks stand look so artsy. And what a handsome big furry guy in the last picture 😉 (the little guy is cute too).

Thanks! But, I must give the iphone 5 most of the credit for the cool looking pic.
Those dogs are cute but they sure do bark a lot. And at nothing. All the time. Very loudly. 😉

Oh, Marcy will know. She always knows! You are in for it! You thought it was funny that there was a building dedicated to fireworks. Wait until you get home and see the fireworks shooting from Marcy's eyes! Ahhhh! Scared for you! ; )

Those dogs are so cute. They don't even look real. I am having heart meltdown over here at their cuteness. How the heck did you get them to pose with their tongues so perfect? Adorable!

    Are you home yet?

Was it fun? It looks so peaceful.

My good friend is from a little rural town in Texas. It is such a small world. Wouldn't it be crazy if it were the same one?!

      Hi Jenni!

I'm in Tomball – near Houston. It used to be a very small town but the population is exploding down here and I really can't call it a small town anymore. It's more of an exurb – (exburb?) of Houston. It's very peaceful and quiet.
As for the dogs, my mom took the picture a few years ago and I think it was just a random thing that they are in the same position with their tongues hanging out. They are cute but wow are they loud and hyper and have bad breath.I am trying but I am just not crazy about dogs.
I am scared about Marcy's reaction too. I know I am in for it. oh boy!

Next time you should bring Marcy. I'd love to hear her report on her return to Texas.
