Feeling freaked out? Grab an “Emergency Kitten”…
(buying via the above affiliate link may result in Marcy and Penelope Kitten getting extra treats)
Cynthia: My friend Stacey over at StaceysCats and For Mew came up with a brilliant strategy to reduce stress. It’s called “Emergency Kitten”.
Here’s how it works: Anytime you are feeling stressed, depressed, overwhelmed, heartbroken, or consumed with rage, simply look at a kitten picture or watch a kitten video and feel your troubles dissolve into happiness.
It works. It triggers your endorphins and creates a sleepy goofy joyful feeling. Don’t forget: cats are as addictive as cocaine!
penelope kitten (squeak): it’s true. it’s been proven. scientifically, in fact.
Cynthia: So, go ahead – turn on an EKV (Emergency Kitten Video)! Turn that frown upside down! Or at least escape reality/politics/Facebook/disasters (natural and man-made) etc. for a few minutes. With kittens.
Go on… you deserve it. You really do.
Here’s a few to get you started.
Marcy: You do realize that you’ve done some version of this post at least five times in the past four years, right?
Cynthia: Please let me have my happy time, Marcy.
Marcy: Fine. The real world is not going anywhere.
Cynthia hits play on another EKV.
Aaaaaawww. Makes me want to run to the nearest shelter and bring home a basket of kittens.
That’s a wonderful idea!
Get me an EKV stat!!! OMG, I cannot handle the two sleeping kitties in their little kitty bed. It’s too much!!!!!
=^.^= ♥ ♥
too cute too cute too cute!
Sounds like Marcy is nervous that you might bring some real kittens home. How did it go when PK arrived?????
We keep Marcy separated from kittens. LOL. PK arrived with her sister and Marcy was not pleased so we didn’t take any chances. When I was doing TNR I often brought home the kittens from the feral communities if they were young enough to tame and adopt out. It was always too risky to let Marcy near them since she had attacked Hamlet who was twice her size. So – that part is not fiction! Marcy does not like kittens!
Who cares if you’ve created multiple versions of this same post? It’s always a good reminder, and there are always new kitten memes and videos for that instant attitude boost! I love the montage videos of dogs just being dogs. They’re so goofy and unabashedly enthusiastic and confident. They make my heart happy, and there’s always time in a tough day to peruse the latest videos and memes!
Awww… thanks, Liz! I needed to hear that from you!
