The Evening of March 16.
Cynthia is typing furiously on the computer. She makes a mistake.
Cynthia: Darn.
She starts typing again.
Cynthia: Ugh.
She starts over again.
Cynthia: Arrrrrghhhhh.
She tries one more time.
Cynthia: Oh you have GOT to be kidding.
Cynthia stops and sighs heavily.
Marcy: What?
Cynthia: I am trying to type “March” but my fingers keep slipping and I type “Marcy” instead.
Cynthia tries again. And, again, her fingers slip and type –
“Marcy”.
Cynthia: Nooooooo.
Marcy: Heh. Heh. Heh. It’s Marcy Madness.
Cynthia (frustrated): Sigh… Fine. I’ll just… get a basketball. I don’t know.
Marcy: You mean hairball.
penelope kitten (squeaking ominously from underneath the bed covers): beware the ides of marcy.
Marcy: The Ides of March was yesterday.
penelope kitten: yeah but the ides of marcy are every day.
Marcy: Good point.
penelope kitten: no. too pointy.
Marcy: Heh heh heh.
Cynthia: I need a beer right about now.
penelope kitten: better make that a green beer.
Cynthia: Ew. Sigh … I’m not a fan of March.
penelope kitten (squeaking): you mean marcy.
Marcy: Heh heh heh. I love my month.

Your “heh heh heh” is chilling, Marcy. Please don’t ruin March for me. It’s my birthday month, and the beginning of Spring and today is Saint Paddy’s day and the azealas are blooming and hummingbirds have arrived. It’s the best!

Oh my gosh – I wonder if I’ve just cursed us all with my Ides of Marcy thing? Except I don’t believe in curses but I hate the daylight savings time thing too. I read that Florida is trying to get rid of it and I hope the whole US does eventually. It has messed me up all week. So that’s ANOTHER problem with Marcy. I mean March.

March is a meh month for me. Probably because I’m soooooo over winter, but winter is sooooooo not over. The green beer helps, though! And I bought myself some fresh blooms to put on the coffee table. This way I have a glimpse of the colors and scents of spring to come!
