Cynthia finds Marcy at the kitchen table greedily making out her Christmas list.
Marcy: Cindy, you didn’t tell me that Anthropologie carries gifts for cats!
Cynthia: It doesn’t.
Marcy: You are wrong because I found lot of fun stuff to add to my Christmas Wish List. For example, these mouse chew toys.

Brava Mouse Ornament |
Cynthia: Those are tree ornaments.
Marcy: Same difference. And look at this pretty red kitty string. I could chase this for hours.

Etoile Velvet Ribbon |
Cynthia: That’s for wrapping presents.
Marcy: They also have kitty dishes. This one reminds me of home.

Cynthia: You mean Texas?
Marcy (ignoring her): I will need this French bag for when we go home to Paris to find my real family.

Baudelaire Weekender |
Cynthia: Marcy –
Marcy: I will fit in it perfectly for the plane ride. Also, we will need a map to find our way there.

Marcy: And, this is for you so you don’t look like a fashion wreck when we are in The City Of Lights for Christmas. The ladies in Paris are extremely chic and I don’t want you to embarrass me.

Cynthia: Oh, Marcy, we’re not –
Marcy: You wouldn’t deprive a sweet little bitty kitty of her most fervently sought after Christmas wishes? Would you? And this is my gift to you.

Cynthia (shaking her head): Little Furry Manipulator.
Marcy purrs in agreement.
Marcy: Merci from Marcy.

Marcy, I think you might be getting a lump of coal for Christmas rather than those beautiful Anthropologie things. You are rather mean most of the time.
I'm not mean, really. I am just a cat. A moody cat.

I need Marcy to be my personal shopper. She has excellent taste!
Thank you! I charge 10 cans of Friskies per hour.

Ha! Marcy, you are hilarious. My daughter is taking french. Perhaps you could converse sometime.
I am not inviting you to my house anytime soon. I actually have the brown ballerina mouse sitting on my nightstand waiting to be hung as I type. Poor dear. She was way too expensive to be eaten.
I want/need that velvet ribbon when it goes on sale. I will just stare at it. I bought the yellow last year and I cannot bear to use it.

But, Jenni, the brown mouse ballerina would be so tasty. Definitely worth the high price.
Your daughter sounds delightful. I am fluent in Cat French. Does your daughter speak Cat French? Cindy never understand a word I say.
You have more willpower than me – after a few minutes of staring at ribbon- I just have to pounce.
