Bird is the word! Flamingo performance art!…

10 am. Monday morning.

Marcy is mad. She’s watching Cynthia’s pick for the Monday moggy movie post.

Marcy (disgusted):  What is this? There’s no cats in this video. Just some stupid stuck-up birds.

Cynthia and Penelope Kitten are thrashing about doing The Trashmen’s Surfin’ Bird song and dance. Loudly and badly.

Cynthia (flapping her elbows):  Bird. Bird. Bird is the word, my Marcy.

penelope kitten (squeak singing):  bird. bird. b-b-bird…

Marcy (jealously):  Hmpf. Look at those snooty birds. They think they’re so great with their choreography and long necks and beachfront home and perfect pink feathers.

Cynthia:  Oh you’re just jealous of those fabulous flamingos.

Marcy:  Fabulous flamingos my foot.

Cynthia:  Better get used to the birds. Flamingos are “in” right now.

penelope kitten :  yeah yeah. they’re all over.

Marcy:  All over what? They live in Florida.

penelope kitten:  shirts. socks. dresses. watches. rompers. swimsuits. it’s fabulous flamingo fashion.

Marcy:  Whatever. I’m not worried.

Marcy hits “publish” on the flamingo video post as Cynthia and Penelope Kitten collapse from too much “birding”.

Marcy (smugly):  Flamingos are a fad. Felines are forever.

=^..^=

Those flamingos are so beautiful! I’m glad they’re having their moment in the fashion spotlight. I love that bathing suit!

Marcy, I think your dislike of Flamingos stems from the fact that your hunting skills are not up to the task of taking one down. Do you know how tall they are?

doesn’t matter. i could take it down in 2 seconds flat. maybe 1. stupid stuck-up bird.

Flamingos are always in style. There are several around here in various forms, including some old plastic ones out back. Yes, you heard me. Have you ever seen the Divine movie, Pink Flamingos? Cats, you are too young for that one. It is naughty. Putting it mildly.

I love flamingo lawn ornaments!!! I did not know you were a flamingo fan. They remind me of Florida and I am always a little homesick for Florida. I will have to check out that movie. Love Divine too! Naughty is good!

Oh no! YouTube took down the video. I wanted to see! I did watch “The Bird is The Word” though. My mom used to sing that when she was making chicken or turkey when I was growing up. lol She’d be behind the kitchen counter doing the little dance. I was so embarrassed, obviously. But now I think it’s hilarious.

I’m kind of obsessed with flamingos right now. It started with MAC’s Flamingo Park collection branding. It was like a surreal(er) Alice in Wonderland picnic scene. And now I’m seeing so many clothes with flamingo prints. Fun! Love that Lane Crawford tee!

Aaaackkkk!!!! I can’t believe it’s down! I’ll see if I can find it anywhere else. Yikes.
Your mom sounds so awesome! My mom used to sing the “you say tomato i say to-mah-to” song when she was making salad. lol
The Lane Crawford is my fave too!

Oh my gosh! To be on this beach! I had no idea they sounded like they cackle. Too funny! I like that the people are keeping their distance. I think many people have a strange fear of birds, no matter the type. I am definitely afraid of turkeys after my mother-in-law had a vicious one that would chase us out of the yard…

Yikes! I would definitely be scared of an aggressive turkey!
