Cynthia and Freddy, Photo by Justin Davanzo Photography the coat is Fake, no animals were harmed |
Cynthia: I have to say – I am very lucky to have a guy in my life who not only puts up with a crazy cat lady in his life – he’s kind of cat crazy himself. And, he gamely poses for goofy cat photos with me dressed as a cat.

Marcy: Obviously your insanity presented itself after he said “I Do.”
Cynthia: Ummm… well… yes. I didn’t have cats before we got married.
Marcy: Classic bait and switch.
Cynthia: Well, I wouldn’t go that far.
Marcy: I would. Have you taken a close look at these photos?

Cynthia in FAKE FUR, Photo by Justin Davanzo Photography |
Marcy: You’re weird.
Cynthia: Hey! That last one was my Marcy impression.
Marcy takes a closer look.
Marcy: That’s not bad actually. Nice scowl.
Cynthia: Thank you! I’ve been watching you do it for years now. Poor Freddy. He does put up with a lot from us.
Marcy: Ah. He loves it.

*Justin Davanzo is an incredibly talented photographer. His portraits and landscapes are just amazing and so heartfelt. He also does great professional/corporate photos. Check him out at Justin Davanzo Photography.
*The fur coat is FAKE. It’s a prop from a theatre’s costume department.

Love those pictures! And shout out to Freddy!
(I hope that coat is fake fur!)
I'm sure if it's real the animal in question died of natural causes 🙂
I want a pic for my fireplace too!!!
The coat is indeed fake. I just made my note at the bottom very big! Thank you for being concerned about the animals! 🙂
xoxo
I consider myself the lucky one here!
Cat Man!
The photos are bursting with personality. Jason is a genius at capturing the fun and quirkiness of his subjects. Could I have one to hang over the fireplace?
Okay, Mom. Which one do you want? 😉
You guys are the cutest couple! The pictures are great! I could stare at them forever. You look fantastic! I love Cynthia dressed up like a cat! So cool! And you channeled your inner Marcy so well. Are you wearing real ballet slippers? Because they are so rad!
My favorite pictures ever! I hope you get them blown up and framed! Justin did a great job! I love the way he has Freddy looking at you!
Jenni
Thanks, Jenni. By the way, Justin didn't direct me to look at Cindy. I can't help but do it anyway!
Thank you, Jenni! Those shoes are from the GAP. They are from last year and they didn't last long but they were comfy and really did look like ballet slippers.
Btw, Freddy usually looks at me like I am insane. Those first two looks are the looks he gives me when I bring a new rescue cat home.

These photos are amazing! The first one reminds me of the ones you see in InStyle Magazine when the actors promote their movies that premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. Then the second one seems like a high fashion magazine shot. You are not kidding, this photographer is incredible. I love the lighting, the background, everything!
Whenever I see fur now, I assume it's vintage or fake. There are so many good fakes. I have a bolero one that has the same fur as the one you are wearing. I got it at Goodwill and I wore it when I was a Rockabilly girl for the 80's school auction last year.
Were these pictures taken for anything in particular or just for fun? I love all of them.
Have a great evening,
Stacey
Thank you, Stacey! I was worried about posting photos of me in a fur coat. I still am actually. Even though it is fake fur.
I will definitely tell Justin how much you like his work. Justin was taking portraits at my theatre company and I thought well – why be me? I'll have fun and be a cat. The good thing with theatre people is that no one bats an eyelash at stuff like that. Freddy was having Justin do some business shots of him that day and since my makeup was done early I just jumped into his shoot.

Awww..your hubby looks so sweet…he's very photogenic! Is it your anniversary or you guys just decided to take some pics? Either way, they turned out very cute. 🙂
BTW…I went on a makeup shopping spree at CVS and thought about making one of those "shopping haul" videos. The only thing is that the last time I tried to use my video editing software it was a nightmare to use! Have you found one that easy?
Uh oh – the reason I haven't done video is because the editing was a nightmare. I was going to do a practice video on my iphone since I just got it. I took an imovie class at the Apple store but was still confused. I need to take a day this weekend and just try to do it. And not get upset. Let me know if you figure it out!!!
No special occasion for the photo. Justin was doing a special session at my theatre company. I was having fun and Freddy got some cool business photos.

Hmmm…i forgot about imovie…i have that on my computer too…i'll check out classes on that…hopefully apple won't want a fortune…i'll let you know how it goes!
The imovie class is free! 🙂
Oh my god, these photos are fantastic!! Such a cute idea. You guys are adorable!!
Thanks, Gwen! They were super fun to do!

So cute. I love these photos.
Thank you, Liana! I love being goofy!

These are adorable- such great commentary…
Kiri! Thank you!! Love you!!

So cute!
xo!
These are hilariously awkward and bizarre. I am laughing out loud right now. I would say "lol", but there's such a spectrum with "lol". It could be a mere chuckle. It could be a crazy cackle. I'm somewhere in the middle with a hearty belly laugh. Your "Classic bait and switch!" line was my favorite. The last photo of you two is really sweet, though. I can feel the love! Thank you for this voyeuristic glimpse into your deranged, cat-obsessed marriage.
<3 Liz
Awww.. thank you, Liz! I have to say that it is fun to be deranged! I have no shame!
