| Marcy’s Memorial Weekend |
Cynthia frantically rushes around the house looking for her swimsuit.
Cynthia: Hey, Marcy! Wake up!
Marcy: Buzz off. I’m catching some Z’s and absorbing the D.
Cynthia: It’s almost Memorial Day Weekend. Let’s go to the beach. Let’s take a road trip. Let’s have a barbecue party.
Marcy: No.
Cynthia: No? It’s almost summer. We need to celebrate with the rest of the world. Party Hardy!
Marcy: No. I’m staying on my comfy blanket in my sunspot. I’m going to enjoy the peace and quiet.
Cynthia looks outside and sees the mass movement of humanity trapped in traffic trying to get to the beach and barbecue parties.
She reconsiders.
Cynthia: Move over, Marcy. I’m joining you.
Cynthia gets comfy next to Marcy.
Cynthia (yawning): Sigh… It’s been a crazy month. A long cat nap sounds nice.
Cynthia zonks out immediately – snoring and drooling with her mouth hanging open.
Marcy: Never underestimate the restorative power of the Z.

Sounds good to me. I was so looking forward to a quick nap after I got my daughter to school but life had other plans. I hope you have a great Memorial Day! Marcy knows how to live life!

Yeah, I have to agree w/ Marcy…road trips are totally overrated memorial day weekend 🙂 Hope you had a great time at home though! BTW…I just found https://cattyfashion.wordpress.com…it's another kitty/fashion blog…OMG!!! I'm so excited that the genre is growing 🙂 (Don't worry though, as far as I'm concerned you'll always be the first and my fav 🙂 ) Maybe she know's something about Marcy's dopleganger though…hmmm…

There are many times when I envy cats. The only bad part is that they are known for not being that vocal when they are not feeling well. If they have a bad tooth or a headache, they don't tell us. They just sleep it off.
We had a Marcy three day weekend, in that we all slept in and hung around the house most of the time. But it's funny how there does seem to be that Keeping up with the Jones, pull to rush out and do something touristy.
