Marcy: We’ve got good news.
Cynthia: Yes! Fantastic news in the feral feline world!
Milo’s Sanctuary here in Southern California is building a HUGE dwelling for special needs feral cats. It’s MASSIVE! It’s a FORTRESS! It’s …
“THE FORTRESS OF FERALS”
This safe haven for feral cats who have been injured or have birth defects or are just old and need a place to rest, will be named “TrapKing Palace” in honor of TNR cat rescuer extraordinaire …

We love Sterling and his mission to not only spay/neuter feral cats, but to also bust cat stereotypes and promote compassion. As Sterling says – “You don’t lose cool points for compassion”.
Btw, you can check out Sterling’s cat rap video about TNR in our second episode of …
“The Cat Show by Marcy Very Much.”
Just then Penelope walks in.

She’s carrying a guitar, sleeping bag, and marshmallows.
Cynthia: Where are you going, P?
penelope kitten (squeaking): overnight camp at the fortress of fairies. we’re gonna cast spells, make lanyards, sing songs, and cook s’mores.
Cynthia: Fortress of FERALS. Feral cats. Not fairies.
penelope kitten: oh. well. i used to be feral. it’ll be ok. besides, i’ve got my pixie dust in my backpack. later ‘gators.
Cynthia (calling after her): Penelope … I don’t think this is a good idea.
Marcy: Ahem.
Cynthia: Yes! And in even more good news, Milo’s Sanctuary is running a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for the fortress, and our friends over at Shen & Sam have created a cool TrapKing Catnip Pillow to help with funding.
Btw, Marcy loves her Shen & Sam custom catnip pillow.

Marcy: It’s delish. Sturdy but nicely chewy. And it provides a comfortable place to rest one’s head when the catnip high kicks in. So back off. It’s mine.
Cynthia: Arghhh … I’m worried about P. I’m not sure how the ferals will react to a fat house panther with a guitar and a good attitude.
Marcy (thoughtfully chewing on her custom catnip pillow): You know, Penelope might be ok. If the street cats are lounging in sunspots in a palace with good food and comfy blankest, they’ll be placated and won’t pick a fight.
Sure enough, when Cynthia and Marcy sneak over to Milo’s Sanctuary to check on Penelope, they find her leading the FORTRESS OF FERALS campers in a jazz rendition of Row Row Row Your Boat.

That is so cool!! What lucky cats. And those catnip pillows look awesome. I want a human one 🙂
They make them for hoomans too! Minus the catnip of course! We’ve got custom made Marcy Very Much ones that I will photograph and post. In the meantime, you can check out Shen & Sam human pillows here too. So many cute designs! https://shenandsam.com/pillow-gallery

Awesome! Thanks!

What a great project. And huge. In addition to helping the kitties, it’ll provide lots of fulfillment for volunteers and doners. A happy story!
Amazing, isn’t it?! I’ve never seen anything like it for ferals. And special needs ferals at that!
