2 pm. Penelope rushes into the apartment with a pawful of packages. She throws them on the floor and rushes down the stairs for more until they form a small mountain in the middle of the living room.
Cynthia: PK, what’s all this?
penelope kitten (squeaking): it’s my newest grandma inspired analog activity, needle felting. there were so many cute kits, i couldn’t decide, so i bought ’em all.
Cynthia (pained): Where is my credit card?
penelope kitten: you gave it to me to buy novel protein for my tumultuous tummy, remember?
Cynthia (warily): Yes.
penelope kitten: well, the vet also said i needed to destress, and needle felting is a purrfect stress releaser.
Cynthia: So where is my card?
Marcy saunters in.
Marcy: I’ve got it.
Cynthia: Are you going to give it back?
Marcy: No.
The doorbell rings. A loud thud of packages are dropped on the doormat.
Marcy: That’ll be my new drone and self-heating cat mats.
Cynthia races to the office computer to cancel her card.
penelope kitten (tearing open all of the packages): ohhh … this felting thread is so soft. it’s making me feel a little sleeeeepppp – SNORE.
11 am the next day. Penelope is still snoring away on a pile of felt.

Those cats look sooooo real!!!
I’d never heard of felting til now and I wonder if as a clumsy beginner my cats would look like mutant space monsters.
If you guys try this, let me know how it turns out. I need courage and encouragement.
I will let you know! Although at this time PK is still asleep in the felt.
