Moon Kitty Sweatshirt

“Moon Kitty” Lightweight Dolman Sleeved Sweatshirt

Cynthia:  I am picky about wearing cats on my clothes. I want a cat print that is cool. Interesting. Even classy. Or at least, not garish or clown like. But still … fun!

Marcy:  And you think this sweatshirt fits the bill?

Cynthia:  Yes. I do. It’s by an artsy San Francisco company called Fluffy Co. Their products are Made in the USA and they are committed to sustainability. Gosh, I love buying a home made product. It makes me feel helpful.

Marcy:  By the way, sweatshirts are “in” this season.

Cynthia:  Really? How do you know that?

Marcy:  Uh… I have a fashion blog.

Cynthia:  No need for sarcasm.

Marcy:  Obviously, one of us needs to know what’s trending and what’s not. Congratulations on accidentally being in style. I never thought it would happen.

Cynthia (brightly):  Thank you! The sweatshirt is super soft, has a banded waist, and 3/4 length dolman sleeves. I like that the length of the sweatshirt is short as it goes great with my high waisted jeans. This is not a sloppy tee!

Marcy (purring):  I like it!

Cynthia:  Yay! You can also get this print on a T-shirt

Marcy purrs even louder.

Cynthia:  And, if cats aren’t your thing –

Marcy:  Gasp! Marcy stops purring. How dare you!

Cynthia:  FluffyCo also has a birds on a bicycle print, a wild horses print, and a solar system print (which includes Pluto!). See below.

Marcy (disgusted):  Birds, Cindy? Really? Birds are for eating, not wearing.

Marcy swishes her tail back and forth still angry about Cynthia’s cat comment.

Marcy:  And Pluto’s not a planet.

Cynthia:  It used to be… when I was a kid.

Marcy:  You know, if you are going to turn our blog post into a sweatshirt ad you should at least let everyone know that all the proceeds from the affiliate links go to cat rescue.

Cynthia: Absolutely. As stated on my sidebar, any commission made from affiliate links goes to animal rescue!

So what do you say, Marcy? Wanna sashay with me out in the sunshine in my moon kitty sweatshirt?

Marcy:  Yeah. Let’s go look for some birds on bicycles.

Cat Fashion at the Los Angeles Feline Film Festival

Lindsay and Sabrina

It’s 10 pm on Sunday evening. Three hours past Friskies o’clock. Marcy stares at the front door, glowering and whipping her tail back and forth.

At 10:05 pm Cynthia bursts through the door with a bagful of cat loot and an iPhone full of pictures.

Cynthia (hysterically):  Marcy! The Los Angeles Feline Film Festival was even more awesome than expected!

Marcy:  Oh yeah.

Cynthia:  Yeah! It was… epic! Just…epic!

Cynthia hurriedly fumbles for her phone while talking a mile a minute.

Cynthia:  OMG. You should have seen all of the cat outfits. I was going to do a proper post first about the festival but I can’t wait. Let’s look at all the cute cat attire right now.

Cynthia drops her phone.

Cynthia:  Oops.

Marcy:  How about you get a grip. How about you feed me first.

Cynthia:  Here – snack on this. Cynthia throws Marcy a treat packet. Natural Balance was there handing out yummy cat food samples.

Cynthia retrieves her phone and enthusiastically shoves it in Marcy’s face.

Cynthia:  Check out. These. Awesome Cat Outfits!

Cynthia:  Everyone was so cute. And so friendly. And so … happy.  Maybe instead of giving people Prozac, doctors should prescribe Puddy Cats!

Marcy rushes to hide under the couch.

Cynthia:  What’s wrong?

Marcy:  Those are the scariest pictures I’ve ever seen.

Cynthia:  Really? Why?

Marcy:  I thought you were alone in your insanity.

Cynthia:  Nope, Marcy. There are thousands and thousands and thousands of us crazy cat people out there. I think we are going to make the world a happier place. One cat at a time.

Marcy:  And armed in cat ears?

Cynthia:  Yes!

Marcy:  Oh my gatos.

*Thank you so much to everyone who let me take photos and post them. Please contact me if I have listed any information that is incorrect or if you have changed your mind and don’t want your picture on the internet.   xo, cynthia

What Do Cat Fashion And Lil Bub Have In Common?

Cats in Clothes by Heather Mattoon
an exhibitor at LA Feline Film Festival

Cynthia:  Only that I will be covering both at the LA Feline Film Festival this Sunday at Exposition Park.

I can’t wait to see all the cat outfits on the Cat Walk at 6:55pm. And, I get to interview Lil Bub and her “Dude”. Woo hoo!

Lil Bub
Celebrity Guest at LA Feline Film Festival

Marcy:  You’re going to meet Lil Bub?

Cynthia:  Yes. Are you sure you don’t want to come with me, Marcy? You could ask Lil Bub how she got so famous. Maybe she could give you some pointers.

Marcy:  I don’t need pointers from her. She’s not a cat.

Cynthia:  Ummm… Yes she is.

Marcy:  No. She’s not.

Cynthia:  Yes. She is.

Marcy stares at Cindy and whips her tail back and forth.

Marcy:  Then why – after all these years – does she still have those cute kitten features you humans go gaga over?

Cynthia:  Because she has genetic mutations that make her a “perma-kitten.” Plus, she’s a dwarf kitty which means her legs are shorter than her body.

Marcy:  Right. And she doesn’t have teeth and can’t jump or meow.

Cynthia:  That’s right. And she’s got extra toes on each paw as well as opposable thumbs on her front paws.

Marcy:  SHE HAS OPPOSABLE THUMBS AND YOU STILL THINK SHE’S A CAT?

Cynthia looks confused.

Marcy:  OPPOSABLE THUMBS, CINDY. OPPOSABLE THUMBS.

Cynthia:  Oh. You’re just jealous.

Marcy:  Hmpf…

Cynthia:  Besides, Lil Bub and cat fashion, the LA Feline Film Festival will also have music by Pink Nylon, Bullet Made Statues, Alex Nestor, Lucy Langlas, and Tarra Layne.

There will be cat art, cat supply vendors, cat adoptions, comedy by Kate Aagesen, and a Q&A by Will Bradon of Henri Le Chat Noir.

Henri by Pamela Baron Designs
an exhibitor at LA Feline Film Festival

Marcy:  Gasp. My French boyfriend, Henri Le Chat Noir, is going to be there too?

Cynthia:  No. Just his filmmaker. I think Henri hates other cats and cat fanatics as much as you do.

Marcy:  Sigh… he’s sooooo dreamy and soooooo French.

*Hey Awesome Readers!

Do you have any questions you would like me to ask Lil Bub?

*The Giveaway is now over. Thank you to everyone for participating!

Cynthia exuberantly dances around the living room in her cat ears. Marcy is asleep in her sunspot.

Cynthia:  Marcy! Marcy! Marcy!

Marcy:  What? I’m busy. I’m absorbing the D.

Cynthia:  Organikat + Walker’s  LA Feline Film Festival is almost here! Woo Hoo!

I’m soooooo excited!

On September 21st at Exposition Park in Los Angeles I will join 10,000 other feline fanatics to watch cat videos, meet celebrity cats, check out cat fashion, and support cat rescues in Los Angeles.

What could be better than that? Nothing I say! It has the makings of the most pawsitively pawsome day … ever!

Marcy races off to hide under the couch.

Cynthia:  What’s wrong?

Marcy (terrified) There are 10,000 people like you? Ten thousand catifyibly insane cat fanatics? All wearing fake cat ears and gushing about gatos? All ten thousand of you … in the same place?

Cynthia:  YES! Isn’t that AWESOME?

Cynthia obliviously resumes dancing in her cat ears.

Marcy:  No. It’s terrifying. What if you all spontaneously combust from feline fever?

Cynthia (excitedly):  I’m going to live Tweet and Instagram all the cat fashion while I’m there. I can’t wait!
