Cynthia: We heart Shellie. She is a poet, artist, humanitarian, and animal-itarian who finds beauty and optimism … everywhere. And every day. She makes magic out of the mundane with artistic iphone photos and accompanying poetry. They are always uplifting and inspiring. I want to share her with everyone.
Marcy: Shellie makes me smile. For once your gushing and silly superlative usage is justified.
Cynthia: Thank you.
Marcy: You’re welcome. Now. Do you think Shellie would let me be her kitty?
Cynthia: Ummmm… Shellie has dogs.

Marcy: Gulp!
Cynthia: They’re really cute!
Marcy: Gasp!
Cynthia: Marcy! Are you freaking out or hiccuping?
Marcy: Hiccuping. I could never be mad at Shellie. GULP!

Cynthia: Cat Art Show Los Angeles was even more fun than I thought it would be! Besides seeing the spectacular artwork up close, there was cat artwork hidden all over the buildings and street outside the venue. The result: A Super Duper Fun Cat Treasure Hunt. OMG.
Marcy: You mean OMC. Oh My Cat.
Cynthia: No. OMG. Oh My Gato. Check out the great gato graffiti.

Cynthia: Sad, right?
Marcy: No. Strays are stupid.
Cynthia: Marcy, you were adopted from the shelter.
Marcy: Yes, I was sheltering in place after my whirlwind trip to Paris. I just needed a little rest and relaxation.
Cynthia (not buying it): Really, now?
Marcy (indignant): I was NOT lost.
Cynthia: Okaaaay… Anyway, I always check out these missing cat posters just in case I see the poor cat and can help return him to his family.

Cynthia: We didn’t see him so we went into the gallery. Guess what we found on the way back to the car? THIS little guy on the wall!

Cynthia: That ‘s right! The same missing kitty from the poster. Yay! So it was just art work after all.
Marcy: Only a human would find that amusing, Cindy.
Cynthia: Oh c’mon, Marcy. It was clever. And a relief.
Marcy swishes her tail back and forth.
Cynthia: Anyway, if you get a chance to attend the first ever cat art show in Los Angeles, be sure to hunt down the cat street graffiti. And please report back if you see one I missed.
Oh! And another fascinating factor of the cat art show was seeing just how broad cat appeal really is. I was there on Sunday afternoon and it was very crowded with Hollywood Hipsters, Westside Moms with their Kids, Cat Ladies, Art Aficionados, Stray Actors from the nearby theatres, Baby Boomers, Teenagers from the neighborhood, and Tourists.
It’s definitive proof that cats have indeed taken over the world.
Marcy: Which is what I have been telling you for years. Now where are my snacks? You’re late with the tasty treats.
