Is That Cat Ring Magic?

Cynthia wearing the Cat’s Meow Ring by Fox and the Fawn

Cynthia:  This cat ring was handcrafted by Kayla Wave Jurgens, a Las Vegas based artist who creates beautiful and delicate jewelry. Her one woman shop is called Fox and the Fawn and her creations are inspired by the woodland forests of the Pacific Northwest.

Cynthia:  She gives 10% of the proceeds of the cat rings to a Las Vegas animal shelter. Which I just love!

Cynthia:  Plus, my ring arrived in a darling eco – friendly box.

Cynthia:  Gotta love Etsy. To have a platform to discover American made products and to support local artists who in turn support charities is a wonderful thing. What do you think, Marcy?

Marcy:  I want to be a Woodland Cat. I want to hang out in the trees and pounce on unsuspecting woodland creatures.

Cynthia:  I thought you wanted to be a Paris City Cat and eat in cafes whilst looking fabulous and aloof?

Marcy:  I can be both.

Cynthia:  How? How will you travel from Paris to the Pacific Northwest to do that?

Marcy:  With that magic ring you’ve got on.

Cynthia:  Well, I do love my ring. I smile every time I look at that cat silhouette hanging out on my hand. Maybe it is a magic ring?

Marcy:  Give it to me. I have an appointment on the Champs Elysees at noon and a mouse hunt scheduled somewhere east of Seattle at six.

Marcy flies off to Paris in her sunspot with Cynthia’s magic cat ring.

Keiko Lynn In Cat Tights In Paris

keiko lynn: Le Chat Noir

Marcy is hard at work on the computer. Cynthia enters.

Cynthia:  Watcha doing, Marcy Cat Cat Cat?

Marcy:  Blogging.

Cynthia (startled):  Oh. About what?

Marcy:  The fabulous Keiko Lynn of … Keiko Lynn posted a pic of herself in those cat tights you’ve been slobbering over for a year.

Cynthia:  Ohhhhhh… how beautiful! That pic was taken in Paris.

Marcy:  I know.

Marcy glares at Cynthia while swishing her tail ominously back and forth.

Cynthia:  Okaaaaay…

Marcy goes back to editing her post. Cynthia thinks for a moment.

Cynthia:  You know, Marcy, just because we aren’t bloggers that jet set to Paris and take fabulous photos in cat tights doesn’t mean that what we have to say is diminished.

Marcy:  Really?

Cynthia:  Yeah. We’re on a different path at a different pace. And this (almost) year we’ve been blogging has been absolutely amazing and life changing! We’ve met so many wonderful people! We’ve had so much fun!

Marcy:  Yeah…

Cynthia:  So that pic above is just fantastic inspiration of what one can do with creativity, passion, hard work, and business savvy. And that, from a girl who grew up in my hometown! We’ll get to Paris, Marcy!

Marcy:  Yay!

Cynthia:  So – what did you do with the post I wrote today?

Marcy:  I deleted it.

Cynthia:  Why?

Marcy:  It was stupid.

Long pause.

Cynthia:  Okay. So. I guess we’ll go with your post about Keiko Lynn’s cat tights.

Marcy:  Well, yeah. You can’t go wrong with a photo of a cute girl in cat tights in Paris.
